The project
The order involved not only the installation of a new furnace for metal heat treatment but also the unloading, entry into the hall, and positioning of the machine in its designated place. What’s usually the biggest challenge in such projects? The weight and size of the equipment. The furnace delivered to SECO/WARWICK weighed nearly 25 tons – no surprise it arrived in parts.
Execution
First, we unloaded all components and brought them into the hall using transport rollers to assemble the furnace. Only after the assembly was complete could we place the machine in a pre-prepared pit, one meter below floor level. This was made possible by using a 100-ton hydraulic crane.
Four IS Polska technicians worked hard to complete the task. Thanks to careful planning and years of experience, the entire operation was successfully completed within a single working day.
